Pope Francis Calls for Same Sex Civil Union Laws ucatholic.com
In a newly released documentary on his papacy, Pope Francis called for same sex civil union laws to be passed.
“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.”
After his remarks, said to surely stir controversy, Pope Francis also spoke directly on same sex civil unions.
“What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered. I stood up for that.”
The documentary, Francesco, covers the pastoral approach of his papacy, and how he approaches those who live “on the existential peripheries.”…
