Kidnapped Scheut Missionary Released in Haiti zenit.org
Father Sylvain Ronald, Scheut Missionaries (CICM), kidnapped last November 10th, was released in the late evening of November 13th at the Champ de Mars, a few meters from the National Palace, in the heart of the capital Port-au-Prince, reported Fides News Agency.
The Conference of Haitian religious, which had informed about the kidnapping of the priest had implored the kidnappers to release the hostage as the religious congregation to which he belongs did not have the sum required to pay the requested ransom and had invited the Catholic community to organize a prayer chain for the kidnapped missionary…
