With the approval of the Executive Committee, the Most Reverend Richard Gagnon, Archbishop of Winnipeg and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), signed a statement on behalf of the Bishops of Canada expressing their opposition to the re-tabling of Bill C-7, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medically assisted dying), re-introduced by the federal government on October 5, 2020.
